Beaujolais Nouveau 2005 has arrived and members of Wigan's Angers Twinning Association will be sampling this year's vintage when they meet tomorrow night (Wednesday 29th November).

Each November more than a million cases of Beaujolais are shipped out of France and by the time the run is over the world will have drunk an estimated 65 million bottles. Not that the twinning association will be quaffing on that scale! Theirs is a simple 'taster' session and informal chat following a short meeting to discuss latest news and work in progress.

The venue for the event is Wigan Scouts HQ, Greenough Street, Wigan (near Tesco), starting at 7.30pm. New members are welcome to attend.
