A new book about the history of the Lancashire Union Railway which ran from St Helens through Wigan, [Whelley Loop] Standish, Red Rock and on to Chorley and Blackburn, is now available from a local publisher.

The hardback book contains 235 photographs and illustrations telling the history, from it's conception to ultimate demise.

This would make an excellent christmas present and can be obtained from;
