Same website but no confusing domain names! A more simplified and official name.

Comprehensive history of Bradshaigh, Crawford & the Hall itself now complete.

Early Bradshaigh's are difficult to trace, and still tiny parts need adding in other places.

Nevertheless, an educational resource if you are intrigued and curious as to the history.

Cheers.

Beggers belief the draconian laws of a civilised country. Maybe if they had been found shooting up some social worker would have stepped in on their behalf? Very Happy

A great read regarding the Great Haigh Sough in The Library, taken from the Geology Trail of Haigh Hall.

Eckersley's has been restructured for easier reading. Also a new area "Wigan At War" and more to come in the Haigh Hall sections.

New section named "Wigan at War". Excellent pieces of information gathered by RAF Millom.

Finished the Bradshaigh timeline. Research ongoing as to the early Bradshaigh's and Le Norrey's.

Pictures of Cutacre Opencasting, a trip through the Douglas tunnel at Worthington Lakes and old pictures of Chisnall Hall Colliery.

Brian has also kindly added us to the 'Links' section of WiganWorld.

Membership to the site has rocketed in the last three weeks, better search engine listing (page 1) has allowed this. Typing 'Wigan History' is enough.

Were still here, just taken lots of time to compile the following.

A short history of the Eckersley family has been added in a new section to the website. Written entirely by myself, I believe once again this material to be only available all in one place...
