That is very atmospheric, looks like it was taken about 50 years ago.

I remember a photo (may have been last year) that appeared in the press of the prettiest village in UK or some such, and that just reminds me of it as that one feature a pond too.

Two Canada geese flew over our back garden this a.m..why is it that when I see big birds fly overhead it brings a tear to my eyes...it never fails to make me emotional.

I know what you mean, especially when I hear the ducks/geese flying in flock when migrating Septemberish. I always hope they will all come back - but perhaps I should just wish that they all make it to land.

I have heard and seen stories of North Sea fishermen/trawlermen who film and keep record of migrating birds that take a lift from their boats, sometimes for a few days at a time - always gives me a good feeling.
