Morning Oy,I believe the land between the railway and canal opposite Gathurst Lock is a nature reserve containing a few very rare bugs. There are some very strange bollard grassy sculptures rising several feet above ground there.

In the last photograph on the right where several narrow boats are moored together, I was told that the land on the canal bank there is not owned by anyone, so anyone can moor their boat there.
I don't know how true that is, but if there is some truth in it, is that where the 'Coal Tippler' used to be ?

Yes Gordon, you are right, it is where the coal tip or tippler used to be. This is what it used to look like:-

Blinking heck Peter have you just got out of the wrong side of the bed.

Who said it was a competition between photos and videos, mmmm

Its should be equal thanks to Oy and them who make videos to show these walks to those who dont get out much.

When was last time you walked from Appley Bridge to Crooke
