It all just makes me scared.

I'm 53, and when I was a kid, winter was freezing and summers were warm. I'm not saying it was like that all the time, but you know what I mean.

We've had snow, bad snow at the end of last and beginning of this year. Now we all know that it hasnt been that bad in ages.

What scares me is this. If the country stops functioning when we get a few inches of snow on the ground, what will happen when it gets much worse.

One of my friends comes from a country where the weather gets really bad. They're used to it. They put chains on their tyres and carry on. She was the only one who got to work last year out of about 15 people! She couldnt understand why the weather would keep people in their homes and away from work. Rolling Eyes This country is very rarely prepared for anything. Heaven help us all when stuff starts melting all around us and the seas start to rise. glub, glub, glub, glub Shocked

When I was 3 we used to get snow up to my knees. Now we only get it half way up my calf.
