There being so much traffic on the roads these days it's a wonder that there are not far more accidents, thankfully. I have never been involved in a car accident but I have been in two on buses, in years gone by. I was wondering if anyone on here has been involved in one?

Yes, and the person concerned was an insurance company employee off sick, on prescribed medication. We were on the crown of the road waiting to turn right, he in a line of traffic having to stop because the bus pulled in to a stop, he just pulled out round the bus and accelerated in to the back of us. I turned straight round for me child in the back seat and he was just sat there okay, the back seat had just shifted forward. The boot was a mess, other persons car was a mess at the front.
We pushed both off the road and had bring him in to our house, he was sat like a zombie.
When the insurance loss adjustor came to inspect he asked how fast was the bloke doing, he had virtually written off our vehicle and his company vehicle was a write off, he also said the man was full of prescribed hypnotics. They swiftly sorted the claim - what we wanted, and we got a new car because no way on earth would we accept repairs and a car-liner.
We were prepared to go to court if need be and they just did not want that.
He were drugged up to the eyeballs. Nowt new under the sun really is there. The child and self were okay, but husband was whip lashed, the bloke was okay but I guess he must have been just so relaxed.

Ive fell off back of a few motorbikes when riding pillion and ended up with gravel rash but I once broke my wrist when we fell of at the owd barn corner.

Funny thing is I never fell off my own bike, then a couple of years ago I knocked this women off her scooter when she pulled out on me but she didnt die.

The when I was working off great yarmouth I used to hire a car to drive back home to Wigan but one night while acting daft and driving to fast I went over the sea wall car ended up on its side and pointing wrong way around.

When the Bobby came he said Carl Denver and Lonnie Donegan went over at exactly same spot but I think he said one of there mates got killed but I wa lucky and only ended up with a little scare under my chin.

About 10 days ago we decided to take Harolds advice and go to Anderton boat lift in Cheshire for the afternoon

Must be 2 or 3 years since he recommended it

Well, we set off down the M6 but the traffic was going very slow and the signs said 'chocker for miles'

So we got off at Warrington and came back up the M6
As we came off at Orrell a huge lorry -- 3 axle trailer -- shunted into our rear end
Not hurt and insurance now sorted; -- accidents can happen at any time

Drive careful

I was waiting at a zebra crossing near the Plough pub on Atherton road Hindley at the back of another car letting someone cross the road and when were about to start moving again I happened to look through the back mirror when this woman came down the road like the clappers and ran into the back of my car wesortedit out and got my car repaired through her insurance but the laughable thing was that the woman said to the police that she was an "ADNANCED DRIVER" The cop gave a little smile, I wander what he said to himself Smile

A long time ago my husband had a motor bike and he was stopped at the zebra crossings in front of Middleton and Woods in Wigan. A lorry hit him from behind. A couple of the staff from the funeral home came running out. He told them to go back in as he wasn't ready for them yet. Laughing
