Hi there explorations, just joined your site, some great stuff on there, like the articles on the Crawfords. I've also taken a personal interest in Winstanley Hall and would love to see a soloution on the future of this once grand house.

I deeply appreciate any feedback towards the site. Simple setup with quality content.

The Crawfords have partially taken over my life, it's a disaster this family does not come under any history topic in our schools.

Very Happy

Events relating to Wigan in the days of David Lindsay, 27th Earl of Crawford, now in The Library.

An excellent read in journal form.

Bradshaigh family added to The Library. Also a kind explanation by myself as to how Haigh was passed from Bradshaigh to Lindsay.

27th Earl of Crawford David Lindsay report in the "Wigan Examiner" on his death, 1940.

I have put a small report on there under 'The Earl's of Crawford at Haigh Hall' thread in The Library.

Check back soon for the full report in to his life and also the funeral service. It will take me a while to type so be patient, well worth the read and extremely interesting.

Newspaper report to be found here:

Scroll down to the 27th Earl, David Lindsay.

Makes you think back to the influence they had in the town, the respect was huge. A fantastic read and insight in to the life of David Lindsay, 27th Earl of Crawford & Balcarres.

All Haigh Hall related stuff taken off for reorganisation. I felt it was a little too scattered and so i'm going through the information carefully, ready for publishing.

History of the Bradshaigh's and Crawford's along with profiles of most family members now line. In order from earliest to latest as you work your way down the page for better viewing as a 'timeline'.
