Why has Paul Jewel resigned?
I haven't seen any details of this, only that he has.

Has he left under a cloud? Has there been a problem with D.W. ?

Surley they arn't blameing him for the strugle they've had in staying up,or are they ?

He basically wants a break from football for a while. A well deserved one I say! No doubt he'll be back with another club sooner rather than later though.

Have a read what he said: Here

paul jewell has done an amazing job, however, it has caused him an immense amount of stress, i think that latics had become his total priority and family etc...were pushed to one side, he was determined that latics were going to say in the premiership, and i think if you look at pictures of him, you can see the stress creeping in and taking over. Paul Jewell will always have a special place in the hearts of many wiganers, aftre all, he steered us to the premiership. He is a very genuine bloke, i'm sure we will see him back in football sooner rather than later, but for now i wish him all the best in some time for himself and his family, a well deserved holiday will start to relax him!!

He's probably glad to get Whelan from breathing down his neck.
