Hindleyite - mine is the same. I wouldn't mind, it's on a slight tilt towards the bottom of the garden. I put a border all the way round the lawn several years ago and whenever it rains now it has continuous puddle all the way round.

There is lots of stuff on google, such as herringbone drainage system and I know someone who did that with success but I can't be bothered myself.
