The metal roof was ruined by some idiots from the council's environmental health shooting pigeons with a 2.2 air rifle instead of blocking up the entrance hole and setting up a trap, but no the fools wanted some fun and ended up peppering umpteen holes in the roof, which the market hall staff only found out when it began to rain.
