Ashton market now but gone ,Over the last few months no stalls on a Tuesday[:( Years ago it was all wooden stalls but they were easy to break into or burn down. The council then installed old container units which again had problems with rust and dampness but cost money to maintain. . They then scrapped the metal units and replaced them with glorified tents and there was very little take up because the stall holders had no-were to store their stock when the market was not on I imagine some of the other local markets have gone also
