Yuo're right -Nucky Bridge had the far next to the apple and pear.
In the 50's I was living in Bickershaw nd my dad worked at the Maypole. He used to bike it to work through the fields,past Taylors farm and under the tunnel,past the apple & pear and Nucky.s farm.
One day he came home with a beautiful puppie off Nuckys bitch-this bitch Nucky had saved from drowning in the canal some years before.
My dad alsoused to keep pidgeons and I used to often go with him to fly the pidgeons over the fields around Bickershaw and Abram and I used to know those fields like the back of my hand.
