When i was young all them many years ago i was a paper boy for Jim Farrimond in the mornings and then when school finished 4pm i then took papers for Applebys at the top of Bickershaw lane
Thats why i know were people used to live because i delivered their paper, I do have a good memory because i know who gave me a good tip at christmas and who didnt give f... all
Broadys right about fisher avenue the old sanitorium is just in side the avenue,
The twins lived in the first house Silvia & Hazel Roughley we lived at number 9 Durkins 10 Dentons 11 then Mays , Cockles, Chadwick,fosters chadwicks again
there were Howards,Smiths, Bishops, Jacksons
I cannot for the life of me remember the other cople but i am sure Bill will tell me
been up Park lane to my sons today you would never reconise it Ken its changed so much there no fields anymore
