You know summat Mark she once told me there was no vehicle she couldn't and hadn't driven while in Africa.Everything from a mini to a HGV, she drove anything to get stuff transpotred, I got a lot of pics stashed somewhere of her working in Kenya, she did a lot out there opening schools and orphanages in particular, she even got to met the pope .She had a massive knowledge of politics , she should have written a book. She stuck it out all through amins reign, no news came out of Africa from her or about her for years , she was nursing on a leper colony during his reign of terror. They couldn't even persuade her to come home to uk when she was seriously ill with malaria. Fantastic lady was Jinny.
Franny was tracing family tree a few years back, she was cagey at first about giving details cos of a few skeltons in the closet for such a strict catholic family, then she called her mum a loose woman!?! Apparently she was pregnant before she married.....that was the awful skeleton she was worried about.I only ever saw her without a habit once, she had hair that was right down her back, but even when their 'uniforum' was relaxed she didn't relax it. Aunt maggie did, and was told off by her hahahaha
