Your right about my dad being auny jinnys favourite mark, after maggie died he had to fone her in the evening to say good night, if he forgot, she'd fone him. We used to go see her at the convent in later years, the nuns were fanntastic.
What is really strange is when my nana was dying, someone from up the street asked her daughter is she was seriosuly ill as she'd seen that the sisters were home that morning and sat in the window.Both maggie and jinny had already died a few years previous.
My dad was a bit of a 'hard man' for years, but he said as a kid he was probably the fastest runner cos he was not a scrapper.My older brother is also a member in here he goes by the name of franny.I have some old pics somewhere of the nuns when they were young girls, they were lovely ladies, jinny strict as hell maggie was full of fun.......nuns or not they never refused a drink though!Used to reply it'd be rude to refuse!
