Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

It was ok if you managed to get a view of the stage without it being obstructed by one of the roof supports.
Seen some good acts there, Grumbleweeds[all 5 of 'em] Syd &Eddie [Little and Large] Joe Dolan and Jackie Carlton to name a few.
I was doing cabaret work in the early 70's as part of a duo and we worked a week there with Manning as top of the bill.
Also worked Talk of the North in Eccles where Johnny Mansell compered. He lived in Wigan at the time.
Blighty's at Farnworth was the place to watch variety acts such as jugglers and strong arm acts
