Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Going back to when the houses were built I have the tenancy agreement given to my Grandad when he took over his house in Elm Ave. It is dated 2 Nov 1946 - and called the Rectory Road Estate. My Mum tells me that they were the first family to live in this property and that building of other properties was still going on.
By the way the rent was 16 shilling a week - and that included 5/6d water rates
