Hi Maureen, I have just read your story and feel very sorry that you never met your brother. I'm sure your mother never ever meant to deceive you in any way and it must have been a tremendous strain in her life keeping it a secret from her family...

I was in Greenfield for years before I knew that I had a brother at Greenfield at the same time. Many families were 'split up' at that time and some probably never met again. Thankfully that does not happen anymore...

I'm sure your brother is looking down from high and hoping his little sister finds peace in the knowledge that he knows that someone cares and loves him.
