Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

Hello Laura.

Not sure if you were able to connect with the Greenfield Orphanage Archives or not, but wanted to let you know the records are alive and well. I just received a response to my inquiry about two uncles who were placed there in 1929. Hope to get copies of the paperwork in the next week or two.

They only have one part-time archivist and requests are processed in incoming order, so it can take a while to get feedback.
