Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

In the football fixtures for this weekend is Bolton v. Everton. It got me thinking of the two little streets off Rectory Rd of the same name. Does anybody know why they were so named and how long ago. I don`t remember any dwellings or buildings there in my time in D.G.
