Jackdog: I don't think anyone can say they've heard all the tunes played on the scene, a lot of them are new to me as well.
I love hearing the oldies and classics as much as the 'new' stuff, as a lot of them bring back long lost memories. Donny Elbert that you posted for one: I remember it was constantly played not only at the Beachcomber but also in the amusement arcade in King Street where we always used to hang out. Like you said...they are the roots of what became 'Northern Soul'
