One that's stumped me is trying to remember the artist who wrote and recorded a song called something like 'Showstopping, Fingerpopping..'
He was a solo vocalist who appeared live at the Casino in the late 60s/early 70s, and that song was almost, but not quite, identical to the Contours 'Just a Little Misunderstanding', which was a hit at the time.
He made a point of saying "that's MY song originally" when he performed it.
Can't recall the name of the singer...could it have been Johnson or Jackson, or Joe something?
Hellllllpppp anybody please...
