I remember dancing in a circle in my box suit, Sherman and Comos to ABC - Michael Jackson, Ressurection Shuffle - Ashton Gardner & Dyke, Young Gifted and Black - Bob and Marcia et al!

The first time the Kirkby skins came to Wigan in 69 they ransacked the Ritz sweet kiosk then literally took over the Beachcomber. Thankfully I wasn't there that night.

It was also the place where I was first introduced to Northern dancing by Booper and Tony Burns on the tiny stage.
They were inspirational.
