The Paramount was on the other side of the road from the civic hall, do you remember the station were the trafic lights are to turn into the civic hall (used to be a yankee base at one time in the 50s) well the Paramount was just a bit further down on the same side as the station, it looked like a little wooden hut. They used to get a lot of polish men going in the Paramount, I think they all worked in the coal mines.
