Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

oooh,first of all Haydock Park Racecourse may begin at Haydock but does go over the boundaries into Golborne via Keepers.
Golborne does just as well as Haydock in amenities.Its not the back end of nowhere you know.
We have industrial estates with some thriving business located on them.We also have a nature reserve.We have an Asda,Lidl and some lovely little shops.We also have two new shops that have opened recently.We have the best pie shop around.We have a number of restaurants,hairdressers,and a cobbler,newsagents,opticians and a late night chemist as well that as just opened up.
We have an original Roman path and Golborne is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.The Queen Anne pub has lots of history to it with Cromwell stopping over one night there on route to battle.
We have a fantastic mining history and a Golf Course.We also have a town square and until recently a carnival every May.
See,tonker,Golborne has got alot to offer and i would say slightly more than Haydock going off my calculations!
