Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

It was still the steps up to the 'Cong' when I lived in the locality.

Though I have been in a few times. When I used to visit my late mother, she often chose to dine there. (I guess because it was my late brother's local, and often she would find there folk whom she knew.)

Not offering any comment about the food, but the place was so dirty that we used to take with us a wet soapy dishcloth in a plastic bag, to wipe the sticky food/drink splattered table top. I am not saying the staff did not wipe them, just too superficially to make any difference.
