Skips cannot be placed on the roadside without a permit and correct signage and lights. You must contact your supplier if you cannot place on private land. Your supplier may also be able to help organise this. Alternatively, they may also be able to organise a wait and load facility.

From Wigan Council's website - 'The fee for each skip permit is £17.50. '

Would that cost be paid by the person hiring the skip, so be money saved if the skip's placed on their private land?
