During the war my mother worked at the local farm , cleaning & other jobs depending on the season, we had rabbit at least once a week & enjoyed it , The farmer kept us in eggs & cuts from killing a pig + spuds, I have never had rabbit though since about 1950.

We had a dog that was as soft as mi pocket, one day it came in with a rabbit in its mouth,my dad said , Nay hers never catched a rabbit, he took it off her & found it was already gutted, she had pinched it from local butchers,
