I had a pair when I was little as I was 'pigeon-toed'! I think they were red and made by Walter Hurst in Hindley.

Glad to say I'm not pigeon-toed anymore so they must have helped.

(I can also remember going for physio exercises at an building somewhere near Wigan library? and walking along practising 'heel, toe' in a wooden floored hall with a wall mirror and ballet bar. Not in my clogs though.)
