You obviously didn't watch it.
It's an old tradition, that a woman who has given birth, is unclean until the church has cleansed her of her "sin".(churched)
So, on the first time she leaves her home, she should be cleansed,(churched) thus giving her the right to move back into society.ie: Visit other homes/places, after the birth of her child.
