Emergency to me, suggests an injured dog which may need vet attention.

Such as a case where dog has been injured (as can happen when a dog has been atttacked), which going off recent posts, seems to be more frequent these days.

Try bandaging an Alsatian's leg when she is injured and frightened. They may not like you even looking at the open wound, let alone touching it, or bandaging it.

Trust me, it can be difficult getting them in a car and taking them to the surgery. Their reaction is to protect themselves.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm totally against the use of muzzles.

Dogs need to have the ability to protect themselves.
