I am referring to pet dogs trained in obedience or not however, if a basket muzzle is used then there is no reason why working dogs as those you mention would not be able to continue their jobs whilst wearing one.

I would only use basket muzzles on any dog as they allow the dog to pant and drink, there is no need to use the band type muzzle at all.

The only dog that should be muzzle free should be the police dog - land sharks as they are fondly known. This is of course only my opinion.
