Hello franny, just read your comments regarding looking after old relatives. My mother who is nearly 90 has been staying with us over here for the past 3 months and I dont know what to do or who to contact for help when she has to return to the UK later this month. Ideally if I could get someone to visit her once a day just to make sure that she is alright, it would be great. She will not have a home-help in the house although I have a number of friends that can run errands and do a bit of shopping for her. The only problem is that most of them are ex-bouncers, and because of their size frighten the life out of the other elderly residents when they walk down the street. You mentioned Help the Aged, but I dont know if they have an office in Wigan, but will find out. Any further info. is more than appreciated. Best wishes Paul.
