As an option to a cold Shandy on a hot summer day try a Guinness & Tizer. Sounds iffy but tastes gorgeous, you have to use bottled Guinness and mix 50/50. Go on treat yourself. Another alternative to a classic is a Snowball but instead of using lemonade mix Advocat with Ginger Ale, not half as sickly as the norm.
