As I have told you before the tracking station that received the first pictures from that moon landing in 1969,isn't very far from where I live and its replacement is even closer and actual dish that received those signals is now at the new location.I have posted a photogragh of that particular antenna on the Forum, and it is still being used today for for near Earth observations.
Some of the questions asked about the authenticity of this event have all been answered by the surviving astronauts of that era plus many of the people involved in making it happen and those who were monitoring it in various parts of the world, including Honeysuckle Creek in Australia. For example, the astronauts wore those special suits for protection against radiation, the flag appeared to be waving because the men had to twist the pole in the the moon's surface and besides the material would ripple when unfurled. For further information,as you all know,is available on the Net or I can get some from my local space tracking station.
As you may or may not know,I'm not for flying ole glory, but this is one instance I'm on their side.
