I was watching my grandson putting on his fancy new trainers. I said, 'All I 'ad was pumps!'
'Is that all you wore,' he said.
'And clogs' I sez.
'You never wore clogs did you. I thought only the Dutch wore them'
So, I had to go into the 'ins and outs' of wearing clogs - who wore them - why - putting new irons on when the old were so thin through sliding, they broke in half.
'Cor!!' he said.
