And, the traffic already does go into Asda off the Saddle Roundabout.

The problem there is the 'three lanes into two lanes into one lane' situation. That, plus no proper road markings, makes it that people know where they want to go, but don't know which lane they should be in to get there.

From Ormskirk Road, the left lane is for turning left towards Robin Park. The middle and right hand lanes are for straight on. Then there's three lanes, left one for Asda or B&Q, middle one for Wigan, right hand one for turning back on yourself (Halfords / McDonalds / Warrington Road etc.).
