Example for wiganstar ...

Uncle Bens packet rice, currently tv advertised,

wholesaler £4.79 six pack
recommended retail, £1.08 (= 26% profit)
Asda £1.35 each or 3 for £3.50

Pataks Curry Range (jars),

wholesaler £4.25 six pack
recommended retail £1.08 (= 34% profit)
Asda £1.42 each or 2 for £2.50
QualitySave 59p each
B&M 69p each
Netto 85p each

4 pints milk,

wholesaler £4.25 six pack
recommended retail £1.39 (= 21% profit)
Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco (top 5) £1.54
Iceland £1.25
Aldi, Lidl £1.44

Just three items that came to mind, but it's the same for any branded product unless it's on offer, seasonal etc..

The 'top 5' supermarkets really are frauds!
