I love 'Whistle Down the Wind', too.

I also delighted in watching An Inspector Calls and Hobson's Choice, having enjoyed reading the plays.

'A Christmas Carol' is another one of my favourite films - in any colour!

Brief Encounter (1945) is a great film. I never tire of looking on the internet(!) - you can discover many interesting additional facts and details about films to gain a deeper insight into how they were created and the impacts they had at their time and onwards.

I'm not really enough of an 'old film' buff to be able to talk about lots of others, but I'm sure I'd reely love watching many more!
