There is already a 'returns' policy, if the asylum seeker loses their asylum claim case, they should be returned to the country from whence they came, with the boat people that is France, but the asylum seekers appeal to the ECHR which invariably stops the return, hence the call for the UK to leave the jurisdiction of the ECHR.

As regards the co operation between the EU and the UK in security matters, that came into the spotlight in the last week when the UK issued a arrest warrants for a couple of weirdo's in Romania LINK security cooperation was agreed between the EU and the UK when we left the EU, the EU arrest warrants are valid in the UK, as are UK arrest warrants issued for people in the EU.
