The use of a Mother & Child space used by a person with a Blue Badge is a grey area with no rules set by the Department of Transport. or any government department.

If the car park is a Council car park, you are advised to check with the Council concerned as different Councils have different rules like they have on having to pay or not if all free disabled spaces are occupied

In the case of Supermarkets, the policy of most Supermarkets is that people with a Blue Badge may park on a Mother & Child space if all the disabled spaces ar occupied.
