I didn't see anyone denigrating the memories of those lost in war......but then again I am not desperately trying to gain the upper hand in the argument and cause friction and conflict.

It's you who should be ashamed of yourself, for trying to manipulate and use the subject for no reason other than to advance and bolster your ego.
