Tumtell, you are right about Jack Arkwright living there but before him Alice Rigby lived there but i remember a family from Liverpool who had been bombed out came to live in the cottage, i was a friend of one of the sons Teddy, we used to fish there & skate on,t clog sides when frozen, the council started to fill the clay pit in at the end of the war, we had some good times at the Tile Sheds.
