Momac my feathers were from Hobbycraft (turkey feathers) I then dyed the tips with black ink and also needed to lengthen them with fine tubing. I then found some imitation horsehair to stick on the tips along with fluffs made from bits of the fluffy trimming from haberdashery stores. To cover the tubing used felt and dyed string. That was the best I could do to imitate eagle feathers which of course the Indians were able to use.
