Momac, I do make about 4-6 wedding cakes a year, I just charge what it costs me to make them but some people seem to think I can make them for nothing. They look at the prices, about £400 for a 3 tier, and think I can make them for £50, I wish

I was once asked to make quite an elaborate birthday cake, and when I said how much it would be, the woman said, but I can get one in Tesco for £10! True you can, but not covered in hand made sugar flowers and sugar butterflies!

The beaded bouquets are very expensive to make, the beads alone on my daughters bouquet cost me over £70. I have had a few enquiries from people who saw it, but they are not even prepared to pay for the cost of the materials.

I'm currently doing Christmas tree beaded flowers, in the style of a Ponsettia, they are coming out great!
