Nana......we were playing in Borrowdale with Robert and a few others at the time I've been talking about. I lived in the middle of Thirlmere Road.....on the right as you turn up from Borrowdale where it bends and then carries on up. Depends how old you are, nana. I'm 67 so would you have lived there when I did ?? The Purcells lived in Borrowdale and the O'Learys lived on the corner house and Ronnie and John Simpkin lived on the other corner....other side of Borrowdale. In fact, my best friend then was Kathleen O'Leary who lived on the corner. Can't place anybody called Kath or John and Alan. Trying to think of the name of the family who lived in the first house on the right....they had lads I think...similar age to me.
