jarvo i remember the white hunter but for the life of me i can not remember his name..... i have a lot of happy memories from the time i spent on norley hall we had not much money but we knew how to enjoy our selves . i remember the dads coming out to play cricket and foot ball with the kids . the estate used to be buzzing with kids but we had no lap tops or game boys to amuse us.. the hours i spent with my mates sat on the wall at the norley shops or we used to climb over the gate and sit at the back of the butchers shop loads of us .. we never caused any harm just had a natter a sly smoke and a..laugh i remember one of the lads we used to call him scooby as he was always singing scooby dooby doo is first name i can not remember now but his last name was cunliff he lived be hind the shops he had a brother Terry who had the nick name TART and a sister Margaret ..well one night we were all behind the butchers and scooby was climbing on the garage roofs that were behind the shops and they had asbestos roofs and he was jumping from one to another ..and as he was going along he was singing scooby dooby doo were are you and all at once we heard scooby dooby dooo were are yooooooooooooooooo arghhhhhhhhhhh well we all went running around to see what had happened and he was laid flat out on the floor of one of the garages ..he had gone straight through the roof . he did not harm himself thank fully. and he was just laid there with the wind knocked out of him.. we could do nothing but laugh when we knew he was all right.. we had some great laughs and there were some great characters.. happy days .. and jarvo i have just remembered who we knew as white hunter it was mr Jones. Sylvia Jones dad .. she married a character called Kenny Turton . he always wore a suit and dicki bow and we used to sing to him in the streets Kenny had a penny and he thaught he was rich and all he could buy was two hapenny chicks .. he was a gentle man though all ways said Hello to every one and asked how they were ..and funny enough he now lives in Dowhall Green not far from us .. we knew who our neighbours were and they would give you there last cup of sugar ..and beleive me we were asked many a time had we got a cup untill me dad gets paid on friday lol
