I have the most simple, pay as you go phone... Most of the time it's switched off... I have it in my handbag, just in case I have a problem when I'm driving ( flat tire.. engine light coming on, etc )... I have been known to switch off the house phone too, my daughter can't understand it, she being one of the the millions that can't go anywhere without the phone being glued to their hands... God forbid they miss even the most mundane of messages I prefer the peace and quiet anytime...
