I looked up Daniel and his Family on the 1939 Index, which was taken on 29th September 1939. He was registered as a Colliery Tunneler, Elizabeth is down as domestic duties, birth 5th February 1910. Eva Kendrick born 21st February 1935 later Carrington, plus one more occupant who is blanked out. If this is the Family that you are asking about, they were living at 266, Mosley Common Road, Tyldesley.
Tyldesley was at the time under the Registration District of Leigh, and considering that Daniel Died only three Months after the Index was taken, It is highly possible that he was buried at a Church in Tyldesley. Hope this helps.
